This position supports NSP within the Strategic Missile Defense Line of Business in Lockheed Martin Space.

As a Systems Engineer, you will:
? Be responsible for coordination of hardware/software test within the missile system through development and Qualification
? Derive, decompose and allocate hardware test requirements to subsystems, Hardware in the Loop (HIL/HWIL), Model in the Loop (MIL) and Software in the Loop (SIL/SWIL) and interrelated components defining development and qualification test and verification.
? Support software test efforts within Flight software and Navigation, Guidance & Controls (NG&C) in the Flight System Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) team
? Work with Certified Principal Engineers (CPEs) and designers to establish missile software to hardware tests to ensure smooth integration and verification at the system level.
? Provide coordination to ensure flight system software/hardware designs are compatible
? Support the test organization in anomaly investigations during integration and test phase
? Participate in design maturity reviews to insure testability

Typically has 9 - 14 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Networking, Math, Physics or other related discipline or equivalent work experience
? Missile or satellite system software integration, analysis, requirements and test along with requirements development and/or decomposition experience
? Understanding of hardware/software system behavior and performance, requirement derivation and allocation, and methods to evaluate and document
? Possess strong system perspective and problem-solving skills
? US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
? Experience and understanding of missile or satellite guidance, navigation & control systems and their software/hardware interaction
? Understanding of missile networking communication methods
? Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware products throughout the full life cycle of the program
? Participant in Systems Engineering reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR)
? Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
? Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
? Active Secret clearance
